The cornerstone of Barack Obama's legacy so far is his Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, or as it's better known: ObamaCare. ObamaCare is nothing but a government takeover of the healthcare industry! It takes funding from Medicare, increases taxes, and contains an unconstitutional individual mandate that requires every American to purchase insurance! Not only will this eventually lead to the rationing of healthcare and long waits for routine treatments, it sets a dangerous precedent that could eventually lead to the federal takeover of other large segments of the economy!
Socialized medicine doesn't work for other countries, and it's terrible policy for America. The worst part is, Congress knew it even as they passed it! Key votes were literally bought off by authors of the bill! Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA) was bought off for $300 million, Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) secured federal funding for Nebraska's requirements into perpetuity, and Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) got his state's seniors exempt from parts of the bill! This level of corruption should not exist in this country, yet it's being heralded as a great "achievement" of the Obama Administration.
There's only one way to right this wrong: Congress must repeal ObamaCare!
